My chaplain in the army told me I was the most unusual person he ever met.
I kept trying to tell him I was just like all those other "joe's" in uniform. He refused to believe me and even commented that if I was an average Joe, he was the Pope.
Finally, we got a chance to meet the post commander during a TRADOC inspection from the pentagon and Chaplain Marquez introduced me to the generals and colonels as "Your Average Joe" instead of Specialist Kois.
What could I do? It stuck.
I've always been told I don't see the world like other people do. I don't think like other people. And yet, in many ways, I'm just like everyone else.
